Soul to Soul, 2022
Food is everything we are. It's an extension of our personal history, our memory. Looking at things that we put in our body daily closely, I learn to appreciate the the fragility of existence. It’s alive, it’s breathing, it grows old. But it’s beautiful. Tea egg, Sillky Tofu, âng ku kué (Red rice cake), lotus root. Food channels my emotion and holds it in a box, each dish carries certain memories and feelings. Most importantly, it’s like a bridge between my family and me.
