More Than A Cherry Tree, 2022
This project attempts to capture the intangible uncertainty and convey the shifting nature of home. I used to believe home was confined to my childhood house, surrounded by family and familiar things. But recent events, like the influx of Hong Kong residents to Taiwan and the war in Ukraine, have made me question what home truly means. Being away from my hometown has created a subtle fog, obscuring my sense of belonging. Yet, I've come to understand that home is not fixed; it's a personal and evolving experience. It transcends borders and can be found in small reminders of comfort and familiarity. It can be woven into new experiences and connections along my journey.
